How the EIS flow works in InsightBooks
MRA issues a terminal activation code for each terminal. InsightBooks uses it to activate the terminal with EIS and download the configuration, including tax rates. After that, a finalised sale is posted to your books and submitted to EIS, and the validation link returned by MRA is shown on the receipt as a QR code the buyer can scan.
When the internet goes off
The MRA EIS rules allow sales to be signed offline within limits set by MRA and transmitted when the connection returns. InsightBooks queues those sales and submits them once it can reach EIS again.
Is the EIS module available for my business?
Going live on EIS depends on MRA onboarding for your terminals. EIS plans are offered separately from the standard plan. Contact us before you buy so we can confirm the current onboarding status and what you need from MRA.
